“Instituto da Economia Criativa” defines
its Code of Ethics as follows:
- Respect Laws, Rules and Regulations in Brazil and
abroad;
- Bear in mind the principles of excellence when
carrying out its activities;
- Respect opinions and rights of its clients, partners,
collaborators, directors, government authorities,
members of the press and all other entities and stakeholders
directly or indirectly related to its activities,
as well as the public in general;
- “Instituto da Economia Criativa” stimulates
the good practices of dialogue and negotiation, respecting
the principles of fair competition as well as
the social and economic local characteristics;
- Whenever related to its activities, promote the
so-called Eight Goals of the Millennium when carrying
out its actions. These goals were approved by 191
countries, including Brazil, at a meeting of the United
Nations Organization held in 2000 and set forth in
the United Nations Development Program (PNUD), as
follows:
- End hunger and poverty
- Provide high quality basic education for all
- Promote equality between genders and enhance
the role of women
- Lower the infant mortality rate
- Improve health care of pregnant women
- Fight AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Aim at quality of life and respect for the environment
- Work towards development
- “Instituto da Economia Criativa” encourages
studies and research focused on the conscientious
use of varied kinds of resources, always guided by
the principles of creating sustained societies as
defined by the “Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro
para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável/CEBDS”
(The Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development)
and the productive segments of society, whose challenge
is to “create the means within the business
community and other segments of society to enable
a harmonious relationship among the three pillars
of sustainability – economic, social and environmental”;
- Focus on the revision and the insertion of the
personal dimension by organizations with the objective
of getting the best results from talent, creativity,
sense of humor and friendliness among people;
- “Instituto da Economia Criativa” is
committed to the ongoing and active development of
the use of imagination, creativity and innovation
applied to business activities. In addition, the Institute
is aware that these practices are directly related
to the levels of efficiency, competitiveness and productivity
of companies working in the global business environment;
- “Instituto da Economia Criativa” supports,
fosters and encourages the protection of rights related
to creative and productive activities;
- “Instituto da Economia Criativa” supports,
encourages and fosters the ongoing search for new
solutions applied to business activities, treating
mistakes as part of the learning process;
- “Instituto da Economia Criativa” supports,
fosters and encourages the disclosure of anti-ethical
and illegal attitudes and behavior.
